Reading Comprehension​

Reading comprehension is one of the most important skills that a student can learn. Without reading comprehension, it is difficult to do well in any subject. Root Tutoring specializes in finding reading activities best suited for your child's level and strives to provide topics that your child will find interesting. This is not your standard, read-and-answer-questions model... I will instead work with the student to use a variety of methods to understand and explore a text - methods they can use across all study subjects.
ESL
Root Tutoring can provide any ESL student with the help they need to improve their spoken and written English. With a variety of activities geared towards beginners up to advanced levels of English proficiency this is a program best suited to give your child the extra boost of knowledge and confidence they need to do well in class. Students in intermediate to advanced levels can expect their activities to be designed to help them better understand the subjects they are learning in school.

Upon assessment of students with ADD, ADHD and Autism, Root Tutoring will be able to provide a learning plan for your child best suited to their needs. We seek to work with parents to discuss the best options to take together, whether it be a focus on basic skills development or focused entirely on school work, we are here to help.
